北京發(fā)行儀式
《約恩·烏特松的悉尼歌劇院》以圖片的方式歌頌了悉尼歌劇院的精神和它的設(shè)計(jì)師丹麥建筑師約恩·烏特松。
這本書也實(shí)現(xiàn)了一個(gè)年輕建筑學(xué)生兼攝影師Katarina Stübe 的夢(mèng)想。Katarina Stübe 熱愛(ài)這座建筑并決心去探索這個(gè)作為現(xiàn)代世界奇跡之一的歌劇院是如何被創(chuàng)造出來(lái)的。這本書的發(fā)行儀式將在北京澳大利亞使館進(jìn)行。
Katarina取得了與約恩·烏特松和他同樣也是建筑師的兒子楊·烏特松合作的難得機(jī)會(huì)，把我們帶上了一個(gè)關(guān)于歌劇院歷史和未來(lái)的奇妙視覺(jué)之旅。Katarina的圖片配有敘述性的文字記錄了她的旅程和揚(yáng)·烏特松講述的關(guān)于烏特松家族的生活以及這座現(xiàn)代史上號(hào)稱最具代表性的建筑的奇聞?shì)W事。這本書里還收錄了烏特松文檔中之前沒(méi)有發(fā)表過(guò)的草圖和照片。
約恩·烏特松從來(lái)沒(méi)有見過(guò)這個(gè)備受爭(zhēng)議的建筑完工之后的歌劇院。但是每年都會(huì)有喜愛(ài)這座建筑的人給他寄來(lái)成千上萬(wàn)的照片。約恩為Katarina的照片寫了以下的話：
“你對(duì)這座建筑的詮釋太美妙了。許多圖片讓我想起我最初為這些貝殼作的概念草圖。它栩栩如生的外形以及對(duì)未來(lái)的期盼和冒險(xiǎn)精神都在你的圖片上得到充分的體現(xiàn)。”
《約恩·烏特松的悉尼歌劇院》的發(fā)行儀式將在北京澳大利亞使館舉行，之前還在上海和香港的圖書展會(huì)上展出。大使芮捷銳博士將介紹本書的作者Katarina Stübe ，同時(shí)Katarina Stübe也將展出本書中的圖片。

Jørn Utzon’s Sydney Opera House, A Tribute
Beijing Book Launch
Jørn Utzon’s Sydney Opera House is a photographic tribute to the spirit of the Sydney Opera House and the man who designed it; Danish architect Jørn Utzon.
The book, which will have its Beijing launch at the Australian Embassy, also follows the dreams of Katarina Stübe - a young architectural student and photographer, who fell in love with the building and set out to understand how one of the modern wonders of the world was created.
In a rare collaboration with Jørn Uzton, and his architect son Jan, Katarina takes us on a visual journey that focuses on the future of the Opera House, as much as on its history. Katarina’s photographs are accompanied by a narrative text chronicling her journey together with anecdotes from Jan about the life of the Utzon family and the building of one of the most iconic structures in modern history. Also included are previously unpublished sketches and photos from the Utzon archives.
Jørn Utzon never saw the Opera House after its controversial construction was completed but each year he would be sent thousands of photographs from people with a love of the building. Jørn wrote about Katarina’s pictures that:
“It is wonderful to see your interpretation of the building. Many of the images remind me of my first conceptual sketches for the shells. The evocative shapes and the sense of anticipation and adventure come out so well in your pictures.”
Jørn Utzon’s Sydney Opera House will be launched in Beijing, at the Australian Embassy following presentations in Shanghai and at the Hong Kong Book Fair. Ambassador, Dr Geoff Raby will introduce author Katarina Stübe, who will present a talk and exhibition of photographs from the book.
