天畫廊于2007年9月1日在北京開幕。座落在北京大山子798藝術(shù)區(qū)黃金地段，天畫廊新館建筑面積900平方米，由韓國著名設(shè)計師設(shè)計，按當(dāng)代多功能展示廳規(guī)劃建設(shè)，具備小型美術(shù)館規(guī)模，極具觀賞性和實用性。
館內(nèi)有三層展廳，一二層展廳之間為活動墻，可以配合不同展覽需求變化展廳空間大小。并且可以同時展示多樣化形式題材的藝術(shù)。首層層高4.5米，二層為主展廳，30％層高7米，70％層高4.5米，三層30％為戶內(nèi)展廳，層高3米，30％為戶外展廳，可以展示雕塑、行為等戶外藝術(shù)，40％設(shè)為VIP學(xué)術(shù)交流室，用于國際間學(xué)術(shù)交流研究。
北京天畫廊自開幕以來，邀請多個著名策展人策劃了多場有學(xué)術(shù)水平的展覽，獲得了強(qiáng)烈的反響。開幕展是由藝術(shù)批評家高嶺博士歷時兩年策劃，全面總結(jié)和反映中國當(dāng)代藝術(shù)界近二十年來以動物為主要表現(xiàn)題材的展覽、文獻(xiàn)及研討會系列學(xué)術(shù)活動。學(xué)術(shù)收獲獲得業(yè)界專家一致好評。
天畫廊將通過與國際上多家美術(shù)館、藝術(shù)機(jī)構(gòu)、收藏機(jī)構(gòu)的合作，聘請多位資深策展人、美術(shù)館館長……精心舉辦每一場有學(xué)術(shù)影響力的展覽，全力推動中國當(dāng)代藝術(shù)的發(fā)展。
Gallery TN was opened on 1st Sep.2007 and lies in 798 art area. Gallery TN was launched in such environment with a purpose of promote the development of Asia art, especial Chinese contemporary art. We are always trying to improve the exchange of Chinese art and foreign art. The building of Gallery TN was designed by famous Korean designer Choi Duk Gee and it has an area of 900 square meters. It was built in a construction of multi-function display hall and it has a scale of mini art museum which is both fashionable and practical. There are three floors in Gallery TN. All the walls can be rebuilt according the need of exhibitions. The height of the first floor is 4.5 meters, 30% of the second floor’s height is 7 meters and the rest is 4.5 meters. The main exhibit hall is the second floor, part of the third floor is exhibit hall and the other part is our office room which can be used to seminar of academic exchange.
Gallery TN has held a number of excellent exhibitions by cooperating with many famous curators and. Its opening exhibition “wild beasts” was arranged by Art critic, Dr. Gao Ling. It’s an exhibition with a purpose of summarizing and reflecting exhibitions, literatures and seminars whose subject is wild and gained a strong reaction.
Gallery TN will continue cooperating with museums, art institutions, collections and curators to make each of its exhibitions excellent in the future.
